Role Summary:
In the role of Cyber Security Technician, you will:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build Cyber Security systems to Engineering and Customer specifications
  • Perform validation tests on assembled cyber security system
  • Troubleshoot assembled cyber security system as needed
  • Create appropriate documentation when needed
  • Interact with internal and external customers as needed
  • Assist the engineering department as needed to ensure systems are tested and shipped as scheduled
  • Accept independent responsibility for compliance to Environment, Health and Safety
  • Employee must be able to flow back and forth between projects while maintaining departmental quality standards
  • Quality control inspection of work and products during build and completion of build
  • Be able to read, understand, and follow detailed drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, customer specifications and build procedures
  • Involve in establishing and achieving team goals while respecting the feelings, needs and varying viewpoints of others
  • Be required to document and communicate by using a computer
  • Interface daily with internal customers to meet business objectives and external customer requirements
  • Develop and improve build processes, written procedures and checklists
  • Be required to follow all department policies and procedures

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in CIS, CS, or Cyber Security from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 4 years of direct experience in IT, and/or Cyber Security field)
  • Minimum 2 years of direct experience in IT, and/or Cyber Security field

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and use hand and power tools for assembly set-ups of servers and computers for HMIs
  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

  • Travel both internationally and domestically up to 10%, as required

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Working knowledge of VMWare vSphere and Hypervisor technology
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems and Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based Applications (i.e., Antivirus, Backup, Application Whitelisting)
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking
  • Experience using / reading technical drawings, schematics
  • Good manual dexterity; to work with hand tools, test equipment and computers
  • Communication. Effectively give and receive information in verbal and written English for a variety of circumstances
  • Technical Certifications, including: A+, Network+, Secure+
  • Basic knowledge of Industrial Control System Cyber Security
  • Ability to apply systematic problem solving techniques
  • Ability to read and understand basic types of documentation
  • Ability to learn and be proficient at various software packages
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible. Effective under changing conditions and with different tasks, responsibilities and people
  • Dependable. Sets high goals for attendance and on-time performance for self and team members
  • Requires one to be self-motivated in learning and development of their skills
  • Attention to detail. Ensures accuracy of tasks and processes to maintain consistent quality of outputs
