Role Summary: The Facilities Manager will be accountable to ensure processes are followed and improved, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. You will maintain a Maximo CMMS on both the front-end customer facing interfaces, and through SQL programming to develop additional reports. You will also be assigned to manage new equipment and the 5-year capital strategy.
Lead the Gloucester cluster maintenance and facility operations while developing to lead the Dowty maintenance and facility team.
Maintain a Maximo database, and continue to develop the preventative maintenance schedule on site.
Plan projects for facility improvements from concept to completion
Ensure that manufacturing premises are fully operational, maintained, and clean. This is manufacturing specific.
Work together with business leadership.
Develop best practices & standard operating procedures to be implemented by the maintenance team
Pursue state of the art technology and processes to enhance serviceability and delivered quality requirements
Provide leadership to the Gloucester team to achieve resource utilization, cost attainment, quality, delivery, and cost reduction
Train, develop and provide on-going leadership and direction to the organisation on maintenance and facility related issues.
Interface with engineering, projects, internal resources, suppliers, and customers to assure requirements are met on time while meeting customer and business expectations
Ensure that equipment and services purchased are at an acceptable quality and cost effective
Develop and coordinate department proposals for facilities projects
Be on call for all facilities related emergencies
Ensure that all compliance standards are maintained and regulatory maintenance is executed
Maintain and review contracts for all third-party contractors, such as: cleaners, waste removal, vending, recycling etc.
An excellent communicator who can demonstrate experience of successful project completions. This job will suit an individual who can accept a challenge, work with his/her peers to get results on time and to an agreed cost
Proven track record of project management
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge & experience
Proven years of manufacturing experience
Proven years of experience in a leadership role
Strong project management and organizational skills
