Role Summary:
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy for Bently Nevada & Control Solutions, a $1.1B division of Baker Hughes, a GE company. You shall devise broadly scoped initiatives of highest impact to the business for the current year. Leveraging GE’s suite of change management tools, you will collaborate broadly overcoming Technical, Cultural, and Organizational challenges to achieve those initiatives’ goals.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Continuous Improvement Leader, you will:

  • Partner with business leaders and other stakeholders to develop a consensus deck of programs supporting financial, quality or other “big Y” goals
  • Partner with business leaders and other stakeholders to determine best methodology for those programs’ success: Six Sigma, Lean, Apollo, Fastworks, Action Workout, Change Acceleration, Design to Value, Shainin, or Quick Hit Kaizens (just do it!). Assure compliance to principles of chosen methodology
  • Support overall Reactive CI strategy – RCA screening, track and trend or other techniques for prioritizing response to Quality issues, Lessons Learned or Best Practices
  • Recruit, train, and lead a cadre of skilled Continuous Improvement / Blackbelt coaches
  • Own Project Deck tracking through QPTS and Financial systems; report out progress regularly to senior leadership
  • Manage Lean Six Sigma, Fastworks and Apollo training and engagement of employee population
  • Lead personally critical Continuous Improvement projects
  • Educate and coach stakeholders on Apollo, Lean Six Sigma, Fastworks, and other Continuous Improvement philosophies. Be the change you seek

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma, operations, projects, and/or quality
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with statistics and/or lean six sigma tools

  • Experience delivering financial operating plans
  • Teaching / Public Speaking excellence
  • Proven capability to work cross-functionally
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects and initiatives
  • Proven team leadership skills; ability to effectively influence and motivate others
  • Strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
  • Black Belt Certified or equivalent Quality certification
  • Prior experience with Lean Six Sigma processes and Lean Action Workouts
  • Experience using Statistical Analysis tools (ie. Minitab)
  • RCA / NCA Certification
  • Experience using Lean and Change Acceleration Process
  • Fastworks training and/or certification
  • Strong organizational, analytic, and problem solving skills
  • Process mindset with strong focus on implementing sustainable improvements
  • In depth knowledge of fulfillment business processes
  • Prior industry experience and familiarity with Digital Solutions products and services
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple time-constrained priorities, and bring assignments to a successful completion
  • Attention to detail, excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, self-starter capable of remaining flexible to changing work priorities
