Role Summary:
GE Ventures is looking for a Senior Associate in the area of Machine Learning and Data Analytics to join as a key member of the New Business Creations Growth Equity team. The candidate should be well experienced with machine learning and advanced data analytics techniques and will work cross-functionally with the business analysts, engineering, product, sales and delivery teams to understand customer data and rapidly develop marketable insights.

Essential Responsibilities:
This role requires good hands-on knowledge of advanced data analytics and machine learning technologies and platforms and their use in industrial verticals; the ability to work in a cross-functional environment; and a vision for how connected sensors, robotic systems, and analytics can be used to deliver intelligent digital industrial applications.
  • Get a deep understanding of existing and new portfolio companies’ product offering and product strategy
  • Working very closely with portfolio companies’ engineering team, develop early versions of marketable analytics solutions
  • Working very closely with portfolio companies’ product team, help in prioritization of product features by gathering requirements
    Working very closely with portfolio companies’ marketing teams, develop successful go-to-market programs. This includes developing concept designs and leading customer demonstrable capabilities that highlight analytics and machine learning capabilities


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years as Engineering-Manager for industrial products
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivering SaaS market solutions, specifically for services with very strong data analytics and machine learning capabilities
Eligibility Requirements
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

    Desired Characteristics:
    • Ph.D. with specialization in one of the following: Advanced Data Analysis, Statistical Modeling, or Machine Learning
    • Strong technological knowledge in analytics and enterprise software
    • Inherent interest in connected systems for industrial customers
    • Strong problem solving skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent ability to effectively interface with customers
    • Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members
