Role Summary:
The Sr. Sales Director demonstrates accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Within a geographic area responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects.
  • Develops vision important market on the level of a product line with a long term perspective.
  • Leads business development planning processes for this market.
  • Complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems will be used.
  • Products and systems are client specific and require customization. Coordinates sales teams involving engineering, legal, risk, finance etc.
  • Department is involved in medium-large sales.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace or Manufacturing / Engineering or equivalent knowledge & experience.
  • Proven years of sales, marketing and business development experience in the Aerospace Industry
  • Experience and Knowledge of Mechanical Systems

Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and an integrative team working style
  • In-depth knowledge of the industrial applications for product lines and markets
  • Master's degree in Business Administration is preferred or equivalent knowledge & experience
  • Prior commercial sales experience in closing large and complex contractual agreements is preferred.
  • Strategic Leadership - Creating and achieving a desired future state (vision) through influence on company values, individual and group goals, reinforcements and systems. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Analysis/Problem Assessment - Securing relevant information and identifying key issues and relationships from a knowledge base, relating and comparing data from different sources. Identify customer financial drivers / needs
