Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for testing a feature and or a small feature set. Break down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks. Serve as an expert in application domain and functional areas. Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC. Take ownership of small tasks. Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques. Work independently and deliver testing and use case creation which meets standards and deliver desired functionality using the technology selected for the project. Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored. Collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans. Collaborate with Quality Leaders in creating test plans. Implement and configure testing tools and at times help junior staff. Implement system-level integration testing. Create and execute manual, automated, performance and regression tests. Track issues on through to resolution. Troubleshoot complex issues using advanced testing techniques. Interface with product and development teams to address bugs, enhancements and features. Manage test environments. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on features and usability. Drive root cause analysis of software and system defects. Communicate test coverage, "red flags" and anomalies to aid in decision making. Maintain a consistent test methodology and resolve questions and ambiguities. Mentor team to raise the quality bar. Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans. Follow and contribute to the development of departmental procedures and guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors [Science, Technology, Engineering (any) and Math], and two (2) years of experience in related occupation required. The position also requires 2 years experience with Test Automation with Java, .NET, C#, SQL scripting, or End-to-End Testing; and 3 months experience with core data structures and algorithms.
