Role Summary:
The Financial Planning (FP&A) Analyst - Manufacturing will track and influence optimal performance (cost, fulfillment, quality, cash) and profitability within the Supply Chain. Dedicated to financial analysis by shop/location, this intermediate level role requires subject matter knowledge and experience.



Essential Responsibilities:
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for supporting the execution of the Finance FP&A processes in the site and drive the finalization of local finance integration activities (LM Wind Power) in the site.

As the Financial Planning (FP&A) Analyst - Manufacturing, you will:

  • Data structure and process
  • Lead the data requirements and financial reporting requirements related to manufacturing facility, providing relevant analytics
  • Have an understanding of shop operations performance and managing the Quarterly forecast and budget process for the site
  • Be working closely with the LM and Renewables FP&A teams full integration of LM into GE processes
  • Support the site overall including participating in the closing process and overall accounting of the site
  • Coordinate with both Operations and Finance leaders to ensure alignment (Controllership, Financial FP&A reporting) meet requirements
  • Engage with both GE and LM finance teams to determine process implementation requirement for all other finance areas within the site (Commercial Finance, Supply chain finance, etc.)
  • Support the team in driving the finance controllership culture in the site


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in either Business, Accounting, International Business, Finance or Project Management
  • Minimum of 3 years of financial analysis with project management experience. Must have strong project management, analytical, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to drive project execution at different levels of the organization
  • Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
  • Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP) (GE Employees Only)
  • Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects / process improvement within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions
  • Solid computer skills: experience with financial systems, strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
  • Confidence / Assertiveness: possess influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives
