Role Summary: CM&A analyst is responsible for analyzing material usage for customers under maintenance agreements for variances to their long term service models. They are tasked with conducting monthly meetings with a cross functional service support team for the purpose identifying actions which will lead to improved profitability of the service contract. This role is a great opportunity to build & broaden services expertise & hone influencing skills while driving business results & transformation.
Statistically assess what product group variances are most relevant
Monitor for transactional accuracy
Conduct cost per road number assessment
Follow repeating issues by reviewing trends
Monitor key process indicators such as locomotive count, megawatt hour trends, wheel ware rates, etc.
Drill down through the data to an actionable root cause
Be organized in the handling of data, presentations, and actions
Collect and record actions to ensure that they are driven to closure, influencing across a cross functional team to support execution
Bachelors’ Degree in engineering, business or equivalent 3-5 years additional experience in related service operations, manufacturing, finance or equivalent
Ability to work independently and cross functionally
Strong data analysis abilities Advanced understanding of analytical tools
Statistical background a plus
Product knowledge at a component level
Field experience Financial background or service accounting knowledge
Component life and statistical analysis understanding
Ability to communicate effectively across organizational lines
Ability to use data analysis tools successfully
Ability to drive simplification within the team and cross functionally
Ability to take on special assignments while still meeting assigned responsibilities
