Role Summary: The Sourcing Ldr. Is responsible for developing, implementing and leading the supplier strategy for sourcing products and services for NM Global Purchase Family. Strategically, the role requires driving and developing comprehensive strategic relationships through strong technical/market expertise. This includes setting, continuously refining and executing the long-term sourcing strategy for NM P&L based purchasing .
Essential Responsibilities: Driving the product sourcing strategy that delivers a competitive advantage including implementation of the strategic supplier initiatives. This includes early engagement in NPIs, driving NPI buy parts and technology strategy, P&L ownership, supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance. Working closely with cross functional teams, driving solutions that will comply with the business strategy.
• Leading NM Global Purchase Family with full accountability for buy and meeting material deflation targets by setting strategic direction for global or regional sourcing professionals. • Developing strategies and driving negotiations to meet the quality, fulfillment and productivity requirements of the business. • Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business. • The role may Partner/ lead a team of sourcing professional to meet the sourcing requirements of the assigned Global Purchase Family. • Supporting Supplier Quality Program, ensuring supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation and other regulatory and reputation requirements. • Leading the development & execution of sourcing strategic initiatives to ensure optimal cost productivity, fulfillment, and obsolescence/life-cycle management by leveraging standardization and latest industry practices. • Building deep relationships with Strategic Suppliers Relationships driving early supplier engagement into GE’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process, and long-term partnership for wing-to-wing product lifecycle.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Finance 2. Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain and/or Commercial background 3. Excellent business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change at all levels of the organization 4. Excellent growth leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understand factors impacting GEHC businesses and our suppliers 5. Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time 6. Influence/communication - establishes good relationships; drives change across functional & global boundaries 7. Proven Executive Leadership skills in driving Global change across an organization, including strong Change Acceleration Process skills. 8. Demonstrated ability to lead courageously, maintaining a strong position amidst opposition to resolve important issues, and ability to navigate through a large complex business
Desired Characteristics: 1. Master in Business Administration 2. 6 years solid sourcing, supply chain or commercial experience including 6 years in a leadership capacity. 3. Extensive global experience leading cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams 4. Quality Leadership experience
