Role Summary: In this role, the head of digital ops for Edge will drive and evolve the Predix Edge strategy taking into consideration Predix Platform & Apps strategy, market opportunities, individual BU/CDO needs in partnership with Product Management, forward looking innovation opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will:
Translate overall Predix Edge strategy to operational and organization priorities, including institutionalization of the roadmap in partnership with Product Management, translation of roadmap into features, functionalities and stories with the Edge TPM community, manage headcount/budget and capital allocation for Edge in partnership with the office of COO and Finance, provide advisory support to the Edge Engineering leader, drive operational excellence and organizational effectiveness and build rhythms & cadences to set us up for robust execution and customer excellence.
Collaborate with COO, Product Management, CMO office, Finance, HR, BUs to develop a holistic strategy and plan for Predix Edge
Manage the overall Predix Edge portfolio and investment in partnership with the finance lead and VP of Strategy/Ops
Partner w Product Management in translation of roadmap into features, functionalities and stories with the Edge TPM community
Drive focus and visibility into market analysis, opportunities to pursue, separate core vs. distraction and communicate in a lucid way to internal and external stakeholders
Set up robust operating rhythms and cadences that drive collaboration but are light weight and efficient. KPI development and cascading across org (in partnership with the COO, CFO and HR lead)
Drive (continuously) operational excellence and lean initiatives to provide simplicity, clarity and value to the organization
Have solid rubrics and frameworks to drive objective, data-driven decision making on
Evangelize new opportunities possible with investment; challenge status quo and drive data/digital disruption
Communication framework, delivery to get Edge engineering leads, product manager, enabling functions, advanced engagement etc. on the same beat.
Help solve larger organization/operational problems including roles/responsibilities across teams (internal and external), deal/mitigate audit findings, lead large scale operational initiatives
Forge a strong partnership with peer groups across other parts of Predix and GE
Champion program level support on large initiatives such as OE, service level agreement, cloud optimization, pricing/cost to serve monitoring involving cross-functional engagements
Identify and track engineering metrics that align with business metrics and amplify when course corrections need to be made.
Coordinate with Predix COO team to enable release planning, capacity planning & velocity through Rally/Jira for effective release planning
