Role Summary:
This role will be a part of the Digital Service Technology Healthcare Connectivity and Edge Service Engineering team, with a primary focus of managing projects to deliver Medical Device Connectivity IoT Products and Solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for managing project execution and operations to executing releases in support of integration of Connectivity IoT technology across all modalities in Imaging, Ultrasound and Life Care Systems businesses in GE Healthcare. The role will require application of agile principles to deliver short cycle releases in support of integrating connectivity technology with medical device new product development; Provide daily mentoring and guidance to software engineering and testing teams to deliver releases on-time, within budget; Works independently, at the same time collaborating with all other roles within an agile product development life cycle to ensure product releases that meet organizational standards and customer needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Interact with Medical Device modality engineering teams across GE Healthcare and product managers to understand customer needs and timelines for connectivity software adoption
  • Be responsible for providing technical leadership in defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
  • Responsible for wing-to-wing execution of technical projects to deliver high quality outcomes to internal and external customers.
  • Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7
  • Works with technical team internal and external to the initiative to ensure outcomes delivery on time, within scope and budget and of desired quality.
  • Apply Agile principles to translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable action plans and work units through problem decomposition and planning
  • Demonstrate practical experience in Agile Methodology to runs scrums and stand-ups to collaborate with engineering teams and support them with scope considerations, product requirements
  • Demonstrate increasing understanding of product and project management
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of software development life cycles to collaborate with Quality Engineering and Build and Release teams
  • Work with fellow team members and provides subject matter expertise to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions during User Acceptance Testing as well as after the product is deployed in Production
  • Show increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product
  • vDemonstrate awareness of Industrial trends and domain expertise
  • Demonstrate ability to influence customers and product managers through persuasion and influencing


    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software engineering, computer science OR “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software Engineering OR Information Technology OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Software Engineering OR Information Technology.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in one or more software languages (Python, C++, C)
  • 2+ years or more Technical leadership around test automation, project execution and delivery execution responsibilities
  • 2+ years’ experience in Medical Device software development, Test Automation, Verification and Validation experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in Medical Device system integrations and interoperability
  • 2+ years’ experience in Software development methodology and tools like Scaled Agile Framework

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Waukesha, WI

  • Desired Characteristics:
  • Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in defining features backlog and specifying requirements
  • Drive technology discussion and strategy in line with business needs and company reference architecture
  • Define execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources
  • Facilitate convergence of functional and technical
  • knowledge and build project teams
  • Work with globally located technical team often comprising of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined plan
  • Cooperate with and manage external vendors as required. Manage procurement and onboarding process
  • Ensure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary
  • Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required
  • Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project
  • Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting
  • Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations
  • Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected
