Role Summary: GE Healthcare Digital Service Technology organization is in aggressive pursuit of enhancing its connectivity & edge solutions for remote service and new digital offerings.
Essential Responsibilities: This Software Architect role will be responsible for designing new connectivity solutions to meet the demands of Product modalities wanting secure network infrastructure for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The architect will be working on new technologies and partnerships to accelerate the enablement of medical device connectivity to cloud-based applications to leverage new remote service, analytics, machine learning, and predictive analytics applications at scale to realize the promise of Industry 4.0. The role will require close in-person interactions and joint strategy development with Product Engineering, Service Ops and product management teams.
In this role you will:
Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.
Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level.
Participate in the EA (Enterprise Architecture) governance model.
Support the development software and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.
Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software engineering and architecture dealing with large scale enterprise systems
2+ years’ experience in implementing IoT/Machine to Machine (M2M) solutions and demonstrating extensive knowledge of the IoT/M2M market and ecosystems with hands on implementation experience in one or more specific IoT/M2M industry solutions
2+ year experience in Cloud platforms (Amazon or Azure) with specific implementation experience designing solutions for on-premises, private, virtual private or hybrid cloud scenarios
2+ years’ experience with networking and awareness of myriad of multiple network methods including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc. including cybersecurity management of these network methods
GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
