Role Summary:
Avitas Systems is looking for an Analytics Product Mgr, who will be responsible for supporting commercialization of the analytics solutions in our platform, including specific focus on customer-facing data analysis & reporting. The role will use experience in advanced data analytics & machine learning technologies and work cross-functionally with analytics, engineering, product, marketing, sales and delivery teams to understand customer needs and support data acquisition, analysis and delivery.

Essential Responsibilities:
This role requires working knowledge of advanced data analytics and machine learning technologies and platforms and their use in industrial verticals, great data analysis skills, the ability to work in a cross-functional environment and be responsive to customer needs.
  • Get a strong understanding of Avitas Systems & GE’s product offering and product strategy for industrial inspection marketplace
  • Create and deliver customer facing analytics reports and presentations
  • Responsible for the data acquisition and analysis from tools, tickets, testing and sensing results
  • Contribute significantly to the entire life cycle of product delivery, including: product owner duties developing and clarifying user epics, user stories and features for development, storyboarding new features for platform modules and application expansion
  • Assist in driving the product development processes while working closely with Analytics Program Manager & developers to ensure optimal product feature set requirements are well documented, socialized and clarified
  • Create and deliver technical or business decision maker presentations for internal/external customers
  • Assist in development of material input for technical documentation and marketing communication groups for product User Guides, Brochures, Installation Guides, Release Notes and White papers
  • Develop training material for technical support and sales (transfer of information before product launches
  • Support prioritization of product features by gathering requirements from cross-functional teams, market demands, and strategic direction; work closely with GE Business Unit SMEs, customers and the Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning team to identify key product and/or solution gaps within current platforms and solutions
  • Support Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning and Product Management teams in the the development of successful go-to-market programs that enable sales to effectively position our products and solutions. These includes developing concept designs and leading customer demonstrable capabilities that highlight Avitas’ analytics and machine learning capabilities.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering or technology is required
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in product management working with user experience teams and business analysis for an enterprise SaaS platform, with a focus on technical product management (minimum 2+ years of experience if graduate of a GE Leadership Program)
  • Experience using advanced analytics tools
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

    Desired Characteristics:
    • M.S. with specialization in one of the following: Advanced Data Analysis, Statistical Modeling, Machine Vision, or Machine Learning
    • Software engineering experience a plus
    • Strong technological knowledge in analytics and enterprise software
    • Inherent interest in connected systems for industrial customers
    • Strong problem solving skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Experience collaborating between departments as part of a larger company
    • Excellent ability to effectively interface with customers
    • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
    • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
    • Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members
    • Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Uses two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results
