Role Summary:
Avitas Systems is looking for a Technical Marketing Mgr, who will be responsible for working cross-functionally to support development of marketing materials for customers and internal partners & stakeholders. The role will also act as a Program Manager responsible for leading marketing programs and projects through development & execution. The Technical Marketing Mgr will serve as an integral member of the marketing team and play a key role in the marketing and sales process for the business.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support and manage marketing activities, specifically coordinating marketing efforts including developing technical marketing and sales tools
  • Get a deep understanding of Avitas Systems’ product offering and product strategy for the industrial inspection marketplace with responsibility of alignment with program and project management to marketing deliverables
  • Influence a diverse stakeholder group through strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effectively manage third-party partners supporting marketing and operational strategies
  • Drive the development of sales collateral including PowerPoint presentations to be used in customer sales meetings, and templated content for use in sales kits
  • Define process, metrics, ways to optimize / scale up, and lead projects for the marketing team
  • Manage program management process, KPIs and tracking methods/tools to measure progress and improve. Responsibility for program execution
  • Innovate ways to improve the efficiency across the value chain to meet vision, goals and milestones
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to succeed in engagements
  • Ensure requirements, work scope, deliverables and schedule are documented and steered for success
  • Gather information about program objectives, functions, features and input/output requirements in the engagements
  • Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, and ensure successful execution within those parameters
  • Skilled in technology and tools in managing the engagements (online collaboration tools, program/project tracking tools, KPI management tools, etc.
  • Influence a diverse stakeholder group through strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effectively manage third-party partners supporting marketing and operational strategies


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, ideally in marketing, business or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, digital marketing, and content product

    Desired Characteristics:
    • Advanced degree a plus
    • Minimum 3+ years of program or project management
    • Experience marketing software & hardware technology products and solutions
    • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
  • Experience in delivering SaaS market solutions, portal systems and cloud applications
  • Knowledge of enterprise software, analytics and sensor/monitoring technologies
  • Demonstrate domain expertise in industrial businesses including energy, water, transportation and digital to drive on-going pipeline of ideas to connect market trends and business needs
  • Experience in industrial inspection, data analytics or monitoring management software
  • Experience in sales support, project management and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Experience working for a start-up company or environment developing and launching a new product
  • Hands on, collaborative and resourceful leader who will be comfortable navigating a large organization with broadly dispersed resources
  • Straightforward, open-minded, non-hierarchical
  • Self-directed, creative, driven, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with appropriate sense of urgency
  • Able to quickly assimilate knowledge about new industry sectors and technologies
  • Capable of analyzing, interpreting, drawing conclusions and implementing solutions on a variety of complex issues
