Role Summary: As part of the GE India Multi-modal Aviation team, the Tool and Fixture Design Engineer is responsible for Designing tool layout and machining fixtures ( Mechanical, hydraulic). Expert on using Uni-Graphics NX 10, 11, 12 and on Auto CAD. Should be capable for cutting tool selection and fixture qualification. Should support for fixture calibration process.
Essential Responsibilities: • Responsible for Designing press dies layout and machining fixtures (Mechanical, hydraulic) using Uni-Graphics NX 10, 11, 12 (Expert in Modeling, surfacing, sheet metal and drafting). • Expert on Auto CAD. • Planning and execution of design work from team as per production priorities. • New fixture and press dies identification, quotation, ordering. • Fixture manufacturing and on time availability as per project plan. • Should know spring back calculation for sheet metal parts. • Supplier problem solving about fixture manufacturing and Inspection. • Responsible for fixture calibration process. • Fixture and press dies proving on floor as per project plan. • Optimum usage of sheets in case press parts. • Maintenance of fixtures and press dies. • Should be able to maintain periodic schedules for fixture press dies maintenance. • Maintain Master list of tooling’s & fixtures. • Continual improvement - improve tool life, reduce fixture press die cost, set- up time reduction through optimal design of tooling’s and fixtures and existing fixtures and press dies. • Continual improvement in existing fixtures and press dies. • Continual improvement in considerable cycle time reduction. • Responsible for fixture and press dies storage management and quick delivery to line as per production plan. • Actively support EHS programs in the plant.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Highest Levels of Personal Integrity and Safety Mindset. 2. First class in PGTD, PGDCTE from NNFT, CITD. 3. First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline. 4. 4-6 Years of Experience in Engineering industry – with firsthand experience of designing press dies Layout and Fixtures 5. Knowledge in machining process, welding process, design of fixture and tooling 6. Expert in Uni-Graphics NX 10, 11, 12 and Auto CAD.

Strong project and team leadership 6. Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Methodology 7. Fluent in English and Hindi Language (Written and Spoken) 8. Marathi Language Skills (Verbal & Written)
