Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company is looking for dynamic individuals with 3 years of Oilfield, Customer Service or IT experience for the support of Remote Operations Services.  This is an office-based position with 12-hour rotation shift.  You will be responsible for monitoring real-time drilling and wireline data, incident management, and data quality assurance.  It demands the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers and will challenge your ability to perform in a high paced environment.

 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Creation of wells in the system, well entitlements, feed set up and monitoring of Drilling and Wireline wells
  • Application support, tracking emails, phone calls, requests and incidents
  • Help maintain and develop Standard Operating Procedures
  • Communicate and facilitate continuous improvement
  • Work with regional and global teams to ensure resilience of service and information security
  • Additional projects as assigned by Remote Operations Services Center Manager and Service Manager
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of oilfield operational experience
  • Proficient in Windows Operating systems and MS office applications
  • Knowledge of incident management systems
  • Ability to facilitate multi-cultural, multi-location teams
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Self-directed, goal oriented and innovative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and experienced in working with strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Internet applications, including e-mail clients and web browsers
  • Strong desire to develop and grow in knowledge and experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced dynamic environment
 
Desired Characteristics:
  • Information Technology experienced preferred
  • Knowledge of ITIL preferred
  • Knowledge of WITSML preferred
Locations: 
  • Please note that this vacancy is listed with a primary (Houston) location but internal applicants are welcomed from multiple BHGE locations without relocation being necessary
