Role Summary:
You will be working on multiple projects as a highly technical expert or internal consultant. You will work on projects for components of the domain. You will work on multiple technical or functional domains.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Lead in the domain technical and business discussions
    relative to future architect direction.
  • Lead in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap
    and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive
    architecture viewpoint.
  • Gather and analyze data and develop architectural
    requirements at project level.
  • Participate and lead in the infrastructure architecture
    governance model.
  • Support design and deployment of infrastructure solutions
    meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security, regulatory compliance
    and application system qualities, for different businesses.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market
    trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
    to provide options to leadership
  • Coach and mentor team members



Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors
    (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in
    OR a
    Master’s degree in a relevant technical area

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Atlanta,
    GA



Desired Characteristics:

  • Extensive experience with VMWare, virtualization, and
    automation
  • Great oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience scripting or developing software and
    services for the cloud with one or more of the following automation scripting
    coding languages(
  • Shell, Powershell, Ansible, Python, Chef, Puppett, Bash,
    Ruby, Python, Go, Java, Node.js, .NET, etc. )
  • Experience managing version control systems such as Git
  • Experience deploying and managing infrastructure on public
    clouds such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience using an automated configuration management
    system (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Knowledge of Network Management (SNMP, MIB)
  • Experience with configuring, customizing, and extending
    monitoring tools (Datadog, Sensu, Grafana, Splunk, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience using Analytics Software Packages
    like Matlab, SAS, JMPro etc. Programming experience with open source scripting
    and data
  • analysis packages like Python, R is a plus
  • Hands on experience supporting and maintaining Citrix XenApp
    environments - v6.0, 6.5, 7.x including monitoring tools - EdgeSight and
    Director
  • Extensive experience writing PowerShell and other scripting
    languages for automation tasks
  • Highly experienced in troubleshooting issues related to all
    Citrix XenApp infrastructure components
  • Experience of working with a large XenApp environment
    including Platform Upgrade/Migration Experience

Technical Expertise:

  • Skilled level expertise in design of storage to meet
    business application system qualities
  • Understands technical and business discussions relative to
    future architecture direction aligning with business goals.
  • Understands concepts of setting and driving architecture
    direction.
  • Familiar with elements of gathering architecture
    requirements.
  • Understands architecture standards concepts to apply to
    project work.

Business Acumen:

  • Understand key cross-functional concepts that impact the
    organization; is aware of business priorities and organizational dynamics.

Leadership:

  • Familiar with concepts of costing hardware and software
    components. Works to assure work is on-time and within budget.
  • Delivers tasks on-time with alignment to architectural
    goals. Can identify and raise issues, risks and benefits.
