Role Summary: The Jenbach Projects & Services EHS Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives as a front line services manager for the Jenbach Gas Engine product line. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Serve as key business EHS point of contact for Jenbach Gas Engine product installations and services
Provide direct support to regional General Manager, Service Directors, Service Managers, Project Managers, and Field Engineers for all aspects of field work
Interface with the OneEHS regional managers and media experts to ensure consistent application of programs and solicit support when needed
Interface with subsidiaries and partners to ensure EHS standards are met
Main country scope is Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Netherlands and Spain
Input and track Gensuite applications (Action Tracking System, Compliance Calendar, Events, etc.) for the assigned region.
Provide Commercial Operations / Sales teams with technical interpretation and review of contracts and work instructions and support lighthouse projects
Provide customers with requested pre-qualification information and work with ITO group on third party qualifications
Ensure customer requirements for construction turnkey and outages are identified and addressed during the EHS pre-planning process and through project completion
Collaborate with customers, subsidiaries, partners and GE Security teams to ensure project safety plans are developed and implemented
Perform systematic audits and coordinate with regional shared services to complete audits of EHS activities in the region
Support and participate in customer meetings
Manage programs to support key performance indicators such as concern and near reporting, audit finding and compliance task closure, training completion
University Degree in Science/Engineering or related EHS discipline
Experience in undertaking environmental, health and safety risk reviews, project management, and the production of metrics and reports
Experience in EHS management systems e. g. OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001
EU work permit
Fluent in English and German languages
A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application)

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from an accredited college or university (or equivalent knowledge or experience)
Prior EHS experience in the power plant / reciprocating engine business
Prior experience in preparing government submissions and demonstrated effective interaction with regulatory agencies and senior business leaders
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information
Strong program and project management skills
Ability to work within a globally diverse, cross- functional, internal and external team across different time zones
