Role Summary:
The Production Planner will manage planning and scheduling activities for a product line to drive customer order fulfillment, production efficiency, optimal inventory levels, and continuous improvement across key supply chain business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Production Planner, you will:

  • Develop production plans and schedules to support customer order fulfillment
  • Manage the product line backlog and the scheduling of new sales orders
  • Place major emphasis on meeting customer requirements
  • Establish clear communication channels to the production teams and Customer Care
  • Manage supply strategies, item planning parameters, and stocking levels
  • Develop and manage product forecasts in the Oracle MRP system
  • Oversee the MRP system and scheduling tools for maximum efficiency
  • Provide guidance to Buyers on purchased part supply and demand
  • Initiate and drive projects for continuous improvement on inventory levels, cycle reductions, and cost reduction
  • Contribute supply chain inputs to NPI teams, and prepare ERP systems for successful product launch
  • Mentor the production areas on inventory accuracy – cycle count support, transaction training
  • Work in conjunction with the product line leader, and drive the team to attain weekly sales and fulfillment objectives
  • Maintain data accuracy in the ERP system for backlog ship dates, work orders, routings, and inventory
  • Process various requests and assignments in support of customer needs or business
  • Maintain the highest level of EHS, safety, and quality standards

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 year of experience in Material Planning capacity Systems

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Oracle or equivalent ERP experience
  • Analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Understanding of MRP, capacity planning, and lean concepts
