Role Summary:
The Executive Assistant for the Global Head of Channels & Alliances, is a position with critical administrative responsibilities. The Executive Assistant will work closely and primarily with the Global Head of Channels & Alliances and his team.

Essential Responsibilities:

This role will involve a high degree of interaction at senior levels across the General Electric Company, and with key external business contacts and customers. You will also routinely coordinate administrative activities, handle multiple priorities, work with tight deadlines, & address high priority requests. As cultural champions, EA’s hold the front line of the organization they support – interfacing and engaging with employees as well as partners and are able to “roll up their sleeves” to problem solve in order to move with speed.

  • Maintain calendars, identify conflicts and resolve promptly
  • Coordinate travel arrangements including: domestic/ international and required Visas
  • Maintain reconciliation of AMEX expenses as required in accordance with GE guidelines
  • Provide diverse and advanced administrative duties for executives and provide support to the staff on an as needed basis
  • Perform a wide variety of administrative activities that require handling of confidential information and business critical assignments in a professional business manner Prepare correspondence, invoices, distribution lists and other documents as requested and maintain files, both electronic and hard copy. Other tasks include conducting research, faxing, photocopying and mailing
  • Exhibit a highly professional image to contacts both in person and on the phone
  • Lead &/or prepare presentation materials such as executive internal and external presentations, strategy presentations, HR presentations, promotional material etc.
  • Make arrangements for on-site and off-site meetings and office events such as conferences & conference calls both internal and external to GE


    Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 7 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant/Executive Assistant for C-level leaders
  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience supporting executive level clientele
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate forward thinking
  • Track record of successfully leveraging Microsoft software packages in a professional environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and web tools such as Web-ex, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to use, or learn new software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and requests promptly and effectively
  • Demonstrated history of being able to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity and handling stressful and difficult situations with composure
  • Working knowledge of various technology tools, e.g. iPhone’s etc.
  • Must be flexible / adaptable to extend work hours as needed
  • Tenacity and ability to communicate, influence and problem solve with all levels of leadership and personalities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of providing customer service/communications that are in sync with communicated organizational expectations
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication
  • Must be able to work well in a global team environment, able to interpret administrative and operating policies and procedures for employees
  • Proactively identifies and removes obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team.
