Role Summary: The Network and cybersecurity architect works with project managers, the technical leads, the department directors and technical experts by advising them on functional, technical, economic and strategic points relative to its perimeter.
Essential Responsibilities: As Network and cyber security expert, he/she is involved in different Software Solutions global and regional missions.
He/she is working under System Engineering manager responsibility and is integrated in the COE solution design system engineering organization hosted in EME (Massy). To succeed in its tasks, the Network and cyber security architect must have a deep knowledge of the Software Solutions Network infrastructures and the key actors in the IT corporate organization.
When he/she is involved in projects, he/she must also understand the customer’s infrastructure and people in charge of its maintenance. In both cases, he/she must understand the user’s needs; must also be able to explain, to reassure and to listen the different actors involved in the process of decision or in the implementation (other experts, managers, administrators, technicians, end users, …).
He/she studies the existing Network infrastructures and the customer requirements and then design technical solutions according to the requirements and the allowed budget. Key constraints on the designed solutions are security, high availability and performances requirements.
The Network and security architect must present deep technical skills in various standards such as:
Industrial control systems Cyber Security norms and standards (IEC62443, NERC-CIP, ANSSI,
Energy network management protocols (IEC101, 104, MODBUS, ICCP, etc…) Then, he/she is in charge to design and to lead the implementation of Network architectures that optimizes technical constraints and financial cost, and that includes:
Systems interconnection (availability, performance and encryption)
System segmentation in accordance with the different levels of security (Security zones, DMZ, bastions, etc...)
