Role Summary: The Lead Engineer - Testing is responsible for developing automated test systems for GE Train Performance products to ensure compliance to all standards, system requirements, and customer requirements. In this role, you will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and targeted company objectives.
Develop automated test strategies to maximize Validation Team potential and efficiency.
Drive execution of automated testing to provide evidence of completed Test Plan.
Drive execution of automated testing to provide evidence of requirements coverage and traceability.
Define, manage, and commit to all automated testing cost estimates and schedule in the proposal process.
Maintain broad awareness of automation efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, accurate execution, and appropriate use of resources.
Report automated test related metrics on a periodic basis.
Define and develop a standard automated test strategy that accounts for efficiency, coverage, reporting, and consistency.
Work with global teams to define global standards and achieve local goals.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Must have a minimum of 5 years of simulation/automation experience using NI-LabVIEW
Must have a minimum of 1 year of applied use of NI-Test Stand
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Strong knowledge of validation test execution, requirements traceability, defect reporting, and automation concepts.
Experience creating automated applications using NI-LabVIEW
Experience creating automation test scripts using NI-Test Stand
