Role Summary:
GE Digital Solutions has a vacancy for a Lead Electronic Design Engineer to enhance its Pressure Sensor Design function within the Aerospace sector. This rapidly growing division is looking for the finest candidates to provide first class Engineering support to the Pressure sensing business. The team designs innovative pressure sensors in response to Customer Product Opportunities and larger projects driven by organic growth and market demands.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Technically lead the Electronic design of pressure sensing components for the harsh environments associated with the aerospace industry.
  • Design Change Initiation and implementation in accordance with Configuration Control procedures.
  • Manufacturing technical support and provide solutions for production related problems.
  • High standard of documentation for evidence of conformity and technical explanation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Reviewing design specifications and requirements capture
  • Supporting external customers, internal sales and marketing functions
  • Continually develop and advance internal operating procedures.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge & experience
  • Strong people and time management skills
  • Familiar with Design Change Initiation and Configuration Control requirement’s that are essential for the Aerospace environment.
  • Experience with PCB design and circuit simulation tools.
  • Experience of design and test for EMC
  • Proven ability in low power analogue and mixed signal circuit design and analysis
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages (Word, Excel, Power point etc)
  • Work in a multi disciplinary team
  • Work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with customers and team members

Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace Industry, standards (DO160 & MIL-STD-810) and practises
  • Experience of pressure transducers and compensation techniques
  • Knowledge of basic Mechanical principles
  • Experience within a similar, high variety, electro-mechanical environment
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt trained and certified
  • Familiarity with IPC standards for PCB design and fabrication.
