As a Sr Enterprise Application Engineer, you will be tasked with building and maintaining best-of-breed solutions as part of a small and highly agile development team focused on client endpoint management. GE focuses on a strong customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure our products are designed the right way from the beginning.
When new products ideas are identified, you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing the products from the ground up, while continuously iterating with product management and customers for feedback and input.
In this role, you will:
Building and maintaining endpoint management products and soutions alongside a highly agile development team
Focusing on a strong customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure our products are designed the right way from the beginning
Designing, developing and testing new product ideas from the ground up while working with product management and customer for feedback and input
Drive Incident, Change and Request management consistent with GE expectations to an incredible customer experience.
Mentor peers and co-workers to drive business priorities and achieve outcomes consistent with Client and IT Risk business needs.
Influence our hosting providers to enable a best in class endpoint management experience at speed and scale consistent with device population and question performance.
Innovate on the platform to manage cost out opportunities and change how GE delivers insights to our partners.
Architect and design sound/supportable technical solutions to complex business requirements
Evaluate requests for enhancements and determine potential impacts with the current system design/configuration
Provide support and maintenance of existing customizations and application functionality
Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions
Develop new Pages/Reports/Interfaces
Develop new application enhancements
Write technical specifications
Document system changes
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/related field
Minimum 4 years relevant experience with client endpoint management technology

Experience with Configuration Management tools such as Tanium, SCCM, or similar. Ability to identify and resolve issues with Enterprise Peer-2-Peer Distribution Tools, Technology, and Infrastructure.
Proactive resolution of Config Agent/OS Health issues which affect successful use of Configuration Management Platform.
Proven ability to design/build/run both on-premise and cloud servers & infrastructure. Including updates/upgrades to the platform on an ongoing basis.
Integration of Data Reporting solutions into Configuration Mgmt tool for enterprise wide reporting purposes
Automation of repetitive tasks through scripts, webservices, api’s, and compiled programs.
Ability with software packaging solutions and their use in deployment to workstations or servers. Proven experience with modifying the registry and critical system files in automated fashion. Creation of administrative scripts/installations which modify system settings/policies
Deployment of Updates for OS & 3rd Party Products which are part of the standard enterprise core-load
Strong analytical skills – strong problem-solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make
