Role Summary:
Leads, consults or oversees multiple architectural engagements. Works
on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge within a domain: technical, solutions,
business or information. Leads domain specific architecture.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Shape, drive and be held accountable for delivering significant strategic initiatives in the Americas and across broad scope/platform(s) in liaison with key stakeholders
  • Provide SWAT coverage for key customer facing events, particularly C level discussions
  • Interface with COE CTOs to ensure alignment to sales process and priorities
  • Create a “trusted technical advisor” relationship with our customer’s technologists and internal technical teammates

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Manages and possesses deep industry knowledge and skillset for the Aviation industry
  • Significant expertise in developing and selling SW/HW solutions. Including creating and executing propositions and a track record of success
  • Technical acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that businesses or industry can understand
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, strategic agility, manage diversity and drive for results

    Technical Expertise:

  • Thought leader position: Advises customers regarding GE and non-GE configuration; Reviews and revises configuration / cost methods and approach documentation.
  • Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
  • Knowledge and experience in the enterprise architecture market, including the enterprise data warehouse and Hadoop solution focuses.
  • Expert in defining points of view regarding comparative effectiveness of competitors’ solutions and able to drive messaging to support GE superiority.

    Business Acumen:

  • Demonstrates expertise with cross-business unit solutions (GE Store). Ability to present an overview on all business unit solution areas, based on real experience in working with teams across the GE domains.
  • Recognizes opportunities to align emerging tech with changing business climates; Envisions future trends and design new solution sets to capitalize on opportunities.

    Leadership:

  • Provides leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout their domain. Define the skills, competencies in the skills and talents for architecture team members.
  • Facilitates dialogues that produce new perspectives and trigger recommendations for substantial innovative / enhancements, and analysis of consequences.
  • Influences through others. Uses experts or other third parties to influence. Builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas, uses chains of indirect influence.
