Role Summary:
In this role you will develop sales within the respective sales Region (North/East Germany, Poland) of Cell Analysis Equipment (High/Super resolution microscopes & high content screening systems).

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting for new customers in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio, and qualifying new leads to maintain identified business and to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales
  • Exploring actively new opportunities together with the respective Account Managers and follow up by setting meetings, actively leveraging the matrix organization to be successful
  • Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations & tenders, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities on assigned products in assigned territory
  • Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the product, but also possibly department heads or C-level personnel
  • Maintaining satisfactory aftersales relationships and development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs
  • Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts and communicate current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Solid previous Life Sciences high-end capital equipment field sales experience with a proven effective sales record
  • Technical expertise and experience in several of the following areas:
    • Widefield or Confocal Microscopy
    • Fluorescence imaging
    • High Content Screening
    • Digital Image analysis
    • Statistical Analysis
  • Proven customer acumen and relationship building skills in a Life Science environment
  • High degree of self-motivation and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written) as well as excellent communication, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel minimum 70% of your time (domestic and international, mainly in Europe)
