Role Summary: In this role you will develop sales within the respective sales Region (North/East Germany, Poland) of Cell Analysis Equipment (High/Super resolution microscopes & high content screening systems).
Prospecting for new customers in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio, and qualifying new leads to maintain identified business and to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales
Exploring actively new opportunities together with the respective Account Managers and follow up by setting meetings, actively leveraging the matrix organization to be successful
Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations & tenders, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities on assigned products in assigned territory
Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the product, but also possibly department heads or C-level personnel
Maintaining satisfactory aftersales relationships and development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs
Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts and communicate current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements
Bachelor in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related field
Solid previous Life Sciences high-end capital equipment field sales experience with a proven effective sales record
Technical expertise and experience in several of the following areas:
Widefield or Confocal Microscopy
High Content Screening
Digital Image analysis
Proven customer acumen and relationship building skills in a Life Science environment
High degree of self-motivation and prioritization skills
Ability to work in a team oriented environment
Fluency in German and English (spoken and written) as well as excellent communication, organizational and project management skills
Ability and willingness to travel minimum 70% of your time (domestic and international, mainly in Europe)
Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
Ability to work within a multicultural matrix organization
