Role Summary:
The UPS Service Sales Manager is an outside, direct sales position responsible for sales growth within their assigned territory. The incumbent is accountable for generating new orders by planning and executing sales transactions, which address and provide solutions to business systems problems.



Essential Responsibilities:
As the UPS Service Sales Manager, you will:

  • Primary outside sales and relationship interface for a variety of accounts
  • Manage a broad list of existing customers and target prospects
  • Be responsible for selling into various industries such as Telecom, Data Center, Industrial, and Healthcare
  • Be accountable for achieving Quarterly sales quota by selling to new or existing customers
  • Be responsible for large National accounts and/or accounts requiring special sales attention
  • Be responsible for maintaining / increasing market share in a sales territory
  • Be required to follow-up on qualified leads, perform marketing activities, fact finding, configurations, proposals and frequent customer visits
  • Acts as the Customer advocate to ensure that the organization remains customer-focused
  • Compile all relevant data to determine the exact nature of the customer's business needs and develop solutions for customer business problems
  • Serve as primary interface with assigned business customers
  • Be expected to assist in account development, sales plans and forecasting
  • Presents proposals which address customer requirements
  • Be expected to prepare and/or direct preparation of correspondence relative to service orders activities
  • Maintain the orders opportunity system databases and develop / prepare a needs assessment as well as distribute appropriate documentation to other team members for cost estimate, contract preparation process, wire quotes, etc.  
  • Need to negotiate price and finalize contract terms and conditions to “close the deal”
  • Perform direct sales and marketing activities including following up on leads; strategic account planning; building relationships with potential customers; fact finding; analyzing business processes in relation to current systems; uncovering applications; cost justifying new systems and applications; working with “flex” pricing; performing configurations, engineering and designing systems



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (OR Associate’s Degree in the electrical / mechanical engineering, marketing, or business management fields of study)
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience or equivalent in the UPS industry selling aftermarket services, contracts, and part

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%
