Role Summary: A position exists for a Gate Leader within the GP/RB211. This position will be a key member of the operations team reporting into the Operations Leader. The purpose of this role will be to drive key performance indicators within the area, ensuring the team achieves and meets their targets and metrics in relation to the plan and to manage the operational processes.
Essential Responsibilities: The role of the Gate Leader will be to demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the teams. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short term and some long-term business goals
Provide total Leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production and compliance
Direct process / product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization
Lead your team to achieving goals for process / manufacturing loss improvement, quality and cost reduction
Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees
Responsible for meeting all established cost, quality, EHS and delivery commitments
Ensure assigned employees are aware / comply with all GE government, customer and applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations
Develop necessary business plans to enhance all program requirements, including throughput, labour hours, cycle, cost producibility, and image
Structure assigned organization and staff positions with personnel to accomplish business objectives
Develop the teaming strategy across your teams in line with GE Beliefs
Develop and drive Quality improvements throughout the processes along with taking an active role with the GE Aviation Production System.
The successful candidate will be required to work shifts in accordance with the business needs.
