The Innovation Studio and MyApps team delivers products and services that securely connect remote users to application services in zero trust paradigm. The hallmark of our team is our ability to innovate and adapt to support GE’s complex and dynamic environment, and to develop mechanisms for application enablement regardless of location. We partner closely with various Infrastructure organizations as well as Cyber Security and Risk.
The Sr Enterprise Application Engineer plays a critical role in architecting and designing application solutions in this space, and working with the broader development team to deliver these new product features.
In this role, you will:
Architect and design sound/supportable technical solutions to complex business requirements
Evaluate requests for enhancements and determine potential impacts with the current system design/configuration
Provide support and maintenance of existing application functionality
Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions
Partner with CTO, CISO, and business team members to assess their functionality needs and recommend secure technology solutions
Develop new Reports/Interfaces
Develop new application enhancements
Write technical specifications
Document system changes
Provide on-call support
Review technical designs to ensure compliance with organizational standards
Train/Mentor less experienced resources
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/related field
Minimum 4 years development or architectural experience cyber/security related technologies or 4 years software development with security related technologies

Must be willing to travel (less than 20%)
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Cincinnati, OH
Demonstrated experience with cyber security and architecture, especially from a product development perspective
Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new concepts and analyze system deficiencies
Passionate about security and the quality of the applications they support
