Role Summary: This Internship gives the candidate solid real-life experience in working inside a manufacturing facility. While working side-by-side with plant leadership and employees, the intern will learn manufacturing/ engineering procedures and processes.
Essential Responsibilities: Work under direction of plant leadership on factory safety, quality, and cost-out projects Compile and send out daily production and quality reports Run laboratory characterization equipment Work directly with production employees on improvement projects Follow all applicable safety guidelines for work in chemical plant Analyze and use process data to implement process controls Assist in qualification of new materials or processes Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements: • Full-time student enrolled in 4 year-college or university program with engineering major. • Minimum 1 year left before graduation. • Must hold and maintain a minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 overall grade point average. • Learn organization and technical skills while gaining professional experience. • Opportunities to implement recommendations.
