Role Summary: Provide “best-in-class” customer support for all GE Capital Visualization tools. Leverage customer improvement techniques to continuously improve customer experience. Work directly with customers and provide technical leadership and mentoring to support engineers, helping develop domain expertise and execution.
Essential Responsibilities: Provide administrative support for GE’s visualization tools – Spotfire, Business Objects, and Ataccama, Business Objects and Spotfire administrator with deep platform knowledge and experience. Responsible for all aspects of visualization tool administration. Implement/coordinate Major, Minor and hotfix upgrades. Perform installations and updates for various software components on new and pre-existing environments. Research, troubleshoot and lead resolution of issues involving all aspects of customer-facing solutions. Review end-to-end customer support processes to proactively identify gaps/execute IT process improvements that increase customer satisfaction and contribute to customer success. Interface directly with customers to triage application-related issues and drive prompt resolution, working with cross-functional business teams. Provide timely, proactive communications to stakeholders on significant issues and developments. Report on metrics, including operational metrics and case statistics. Serve as single point of contact for customers via verbal and written communication. Use excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Provide and monitor user access to visualization tools.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM”, Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Information Technology. A minimum of 3 years using visualization tools.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job. Must be willing to work out of an office located in Van Buren Twp MI.
Desired Characteristics: Experience with visualization technologies such as Spotfire, Ataccama, and BO. Experience with BI tools like Informatica, HVR, RDBMS is a plus.
