Role Summary:
 

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a HSE Performance Transformation Lead in Houston, TX.

 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Accelerates transformation of existing culture, processes and systems to achieve operational excellence and operational resilience.
  • Optimizes sustainability of achieving Everyday as a Perfect HSE Day - No Injuries, No Accidents, No Impact to Environment.
  • Guides organization to early identification of gaps and strengths, and expedites operationalization of solutions. 
  • Utilizes and embeds Human Factor/Human Performance and Brain/Social Science into culture design, leadership thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving processes.  
  • Operationalizes High Performing Teams, Generative Thinking, Industry Leading Methodologies and Outcome-based Accountability. 
  • Builds and manages overall Performance Transformation strategy.  Devises indices and tracks performance transformation attainment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; in environment, health or safety, human resource management or organizational psychology.
  • 8 years’ relevant HSE experience, including 5 years in management
  • Minimum 3 yrs Oil & Gas Industry experience. Other relevant experience considered.
  • Houston-based or willing to relocate, available for global travel.
  • Proficient and comfortable handling risk, uncertainty and conflict in both interpersonal and organizational settings. Able to improve understanding and collaboration between multiple parties to achieve optimal solutions/results.
  • Demonstrated ability in advising and collaborating with full range of workforce, from front line to executives; including recognizing how they think/process and work/execute.
  • Creative and courageous with a keen ability to gain support and engage participation from all levels of the organization.
  • Willing to step out and challenge the status-quo; easily makes connections among previously unrelated concepts.
  • Confidently focused on the betterment of the whole versus progressing self; demonstrates a commitment to challenge, coach, collaborate with and encourage others to create new and unique ideas.
  • Observant and analytical in analyzing both successes and failures for clues to improvement; confident and knowledgeable to apply learning to develop appropriate and positive approaches to complex challenges.
