Role Summary: The Americas Growth Leader is responsible for achieving Sales growth for the region by identifying and securing new channels to market for the Core Controls and EDGE Platform product offerings. Responsible for meeting / exceeding assigned targets and close collaboration with peer leaders in the region.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Americas Growth Leader, you will:
Have the ability to develop and execute on Strategic Development Plans while meeting short term business objectives for each quarter and entire fiscal year
Be responsible for earning Customer trust through solid execution – quickly establish win / win partnerships and facilitate growth by other business resources
Focus on programs that are aligned with business strategy and ensure resources are aligned properly
Develop and drive the strategic growth vision and objectives, including participating in essential operating rhythm processes with sales leadership, product management, engineering, and services
Implement the execution framework on identified Customer opportunities, which includes the orders forecasting, deal closure and conversion of orders to sales
Establish, cultivate and maintain Customer relationships at appropriate decision-maker levels
Monitor, analyze, and understand market activities to continuously update the business on all region dynamics including in-depth competitive assessments
Develop effective Strategic plans to ensure proper coverage, including product and technology mix
Lead the development of sales opportunities and coordinate with the business lines sales support
Key customer focus areas are as follows:
Conversion of competitive channel partners
Sign on sales representative firms
Develop relationships to secure business with large EPCs in the region
Call on specifying firms to drive GE specs in projects
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, BA or Marketing
Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales, management consulting, or strategic planning
Minimum of 15 years of experience in high-tech sales and marketing, preferably with prior automation experience or equivalent
Ability and willingness to travel extensively
Proven track record of account / channel management and sales success
Understand the various financial instruments used by customers to conduct business
Strong negotiation and sales leadership skills
Prior experience selling contracts / products with technical content of substantial value
Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training
Ability to accept constructive criticism and deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations including continuing to persevere and remaining calm in challenging or frustrating circumstances
Ability to work with a matrix organization in which you will take direction and lead others within various functions
Able to develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels, including the CEO staff level
Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues / needs into profitable business solutions
Able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
