Role Summary: Thermal Systems Advanced Lead Engineer will solve problems related to engine hardware, engine internal and external cavities thermal state and secondary flows which are essential to the health of the overall engine systems. This position requires a high degree of knowledge in heat transfer, secondary flows, gas dynamics and computational fluid dynamics.
Essential Responsibilities: • Demonstrates domain expertise and skills in global scale; building depth • Coach and mentor team members on assigned technical projects and coordinate efforts with TTC and global technical mentors • Lead and conduct major technical projects • Track and report progress on team projects and deliverables to Customers • Coordinate and participate in Design or Technical Reviews with funding Customers, and Controlled Title Holders at all levels. • Elevate significant technical issues or risks to TTC or GE leadership as appropriate
Qualifications/Requirements: • Working knowledge of aircraft and aero derivative engines • Solid gas turbine heat transfer and secondary flow analysis experience • Master’s degree in Mechanical or aerospace Engineering • Demonstrated basic leadership skills of flexibility and open-minded attitude with capacity to learn quickly • At least 4 years of experience preferably with GE experience
