Essential Responsibilities: General Electric International Inc. seeks a Software Director, Asset Performance Management (APM) & Platform in San Ramon, California to manage the deliverables and implementation of the Asset Performance Management (APM), Platform, and Edge strategies within the Renewable Energy Digital business for company’s Cloud-based platform, Predix. Migrate legacy platforms to new Predix Cloud APM platform and deliver new software products built on the platform in Agile environment. Lead and develop a global team of Software Developers. Lead delivery of Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) applications on the Predix Cloud, Predix APM and Edge platforms. Drive innovation value and growth through program execution and Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Software as a Service (SaaS) development. Manage defect detection, tracking, and elimination, test frameworks and automation. Translate market, business, and technical needs into demonstrable software on a regular rhythm. Define and execute against multi generation software technology plans.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and 12 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree related experience. Position requires 6 years of experience with edge based embedded software development; 5 years of experience leading global teams of software development talent; 4 years of cloud software development (AWS, Cloud foundry, Google cloud, Azure, Predix, private healthcare or other industry leading cloud platform); and 4 years of experience with Agile software development. Position also requires Scrum Master Certification or Scaled Agile Framework Product Manager/Product Owner Certification.
