Role Summary: Fixed term maternity cover role, responsible for executing Sourcing processes in support of business objectives; saving customers and GE money, providing repeatable & reliable services levels, while meeting all regulatory and controllership requirements. This role will support, maintain and enhance supplier performance, with a continual focus on process improvement.
Provide daily Sourcing and Repairs Management Support for AMS’ Sales Staff and make certain customer requirements are being met
Execute and Manage Sales Order Repairs and/or purchase orders with a defined work scope, at a defined cost, and ensure a timely turn
Proactively seek potential solutions to challenges, and provide options when alerting AMS Account Managers
Identify parts that should be repaired, overhauled and/or modified to increase marketability
Obtain market pricing and repair pricing from AMS Approved Suppliers as needed and load to Sourcing data base for full visibility
Reduce cost of repairs and purchases by negotiating price and/or sourcing piece parts(as required)
Ensure International Trade Control (Import/Export) regulations are rigorously executed
Develop, monitor and pursue tactical and strategic initiatives/projects in area such as supplier management.
Negotiate Supplier Network and provide ongoing administration.
Prepare analytical reports, forecasts and supplier/customer dashboards.
Support Sourcing policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Recommend appropriate course of action to team leadership.
Work closely with team to ensure total cost productivity and/or revenue maximization.
Maintain supplier information with Vendor Management Center of Excellence (COE) or business platform COE systems.
Responsible for contract imaging & storage per business document retention standards.
Ensure timely and accurate set up of contractual pricing in appropriate business systems.
Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma/GED with some years of experience in a financial services, sourcing, operations or customer service setting or equivalent military experience.
Experience with Microsoft Suite including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook or comparable software application.
