Senior Java Application Developer will perform application integrations and application support of GE’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) applications. This role is critical to shared services business delivery for GE financial close and reporting.
Partner with functional and technical application owners to design and implement integration of various IT systems to Close Manager application, including coordination of development, testing, and production release and support activities.
Partner with functional and various IT application owners to execute system enhancements, in line with defined business processes, SDLC, secure development and compliance standards.
Responsible for the day to day operational support activities in accordance to defined business SLAs.
Coordinate root cause analysis, recommend resolutions and implement remediation plans following standard SDLC processes.
Provide regular updates to leadership on progress issue resolution and ongoing development activities.
Fluent in verbal and written English language.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent technology degrees.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience developing/supporting applications using Oracle DB objects and PL/SQL procedures.
Hands-on experience in all aspects of software development life cycle, including QA and release management.
Minimum 2 years in an application support role, or supporting large scale applications.
Minimum 2 years in a role responsible for translating technical design requirements into actionable tasks.
Experience with Hibernate framework.
Experience with Spring framework.
Experience with Web Services.
Experience with data modeling and design in Oracle.
Experience supporting finance applications, or finance background.
Experience working in a matrix environment, and with global teams.
Self-starter, with strong analytical and conceptual skills and attention to detail.
Ability to be adaptable to change and learn quickly in dynamic environment.
Ability to work well in a dynamic fast-paced team environment, building strong relationships and credibility.
Ability to clearly communicate operational issues, incorporating root cause analysis and actions required.
