Role Summary: This role is based in GE Sensing EMEA, Shannon. This is a permanent opportunity with Baker Hughes, a GE Company.
Lead a team of Buyers and Buyer Planners to provide a high level of service to our customers
Lead and proactively manage issues related to supplier fulfilment
Reach and exceed inventory target for Purchasing team through the use of innovative stocking practices while maintaining customer service levels
Run and execute Daily MRP’s for agreed budget spend
Support Deflation targets for the site by maintaining contract prices and seeking discounts
Ensuring On time delivery is at 95% for our supplier base
Maintain planning parameters for own products
Working on Lean continuous improvement projects
Issue Purchase Orders using sound purchasing practices and applicable company and
Using ERP systems Oracle and SAP & moving the teams to work on both systems in 2018
Extracting data and presenting to team and management
Meet own and site purchasing metrics
Qualifications/Requirements: The ideal candidate will be an experienced Buyer/Planner Leader ideally from a technical environment who can confidently lead a team and is committed to providing a high level of service to their customers.
Bachelor’s degree preferred ideally or equivalent knowledge & experience
IIPMM Purchasing qualification or equivalent
Proven years business experience
Experience in dealing with suppliers and supplier metrics
Strong knowledge of MRP systems and preferred Oracle and SAP experience
Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of process flow charting
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Project management and decision making skills
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to influence others and lead teams
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
