Role Summary: The Senior Sourcing Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you and the team that you lead will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within the sourcing function, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall Aviation sourcing business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities: You will be instrumental in lead all sourcing initiatives & high impact priorities & drive growth. In addition you will also be responsible for (but not limited to): • Lead team to drive overall supplier management, including driving supplier delivery performance, quality performance, measuring and assessing supplier capacity and capabilities, and leading New Part Introduction (NPI) processes • Coordinate team with quality, engineering, and US based teams to drive supplier performance • Develop technical and market expertise in key commodity areas • Closely monitor supplier performance and drive any required recovery plans / actions • Balance tactical execution with strategy development to execute cost reduction projects through process changes, supplier capability development, and qualifying new suppliers • Enforce business and compliance policies to meet business targets, demand requirements and customer needs, including improving purchase order and delivery information processes • Lead team to hold weekly reviews with suppliers • Lead team to conduct capacity audits and develop action item plans to track constraints that impede supplier performance • Develop processes to identify future capacity, capability, or delivery issues
Qualifications/Requirements: To be successful in this role, you would possess and/or demonstrate the following • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, Engineering is preferred • At least 5 additional years of experience in Sourcing including negotiating, identifying opportunities, selecting suppliers, and managing supplier contracts • At least 2 years in people / team management • The ability to communicate in Mandarin is essential when dealing with suppliers and vendors in certain part of Asia. • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time within Asia • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification would be advantageous • The ability to interact and influence cross functional teams both internally and externally. • Proven project management and process improvement capability • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
