Role Summary: Responsible for defining, hiring and leading a team of qualified trade craftsmen and other resources to drive exceptional regulatory and quality assurance, for optimized services for the protection of people and assets, and for enhancing business growth by maintaining a world-class building for customers and employees and the equipment that supports manufacturing.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Driving customer service and work completion based on priorities set by customers (main focus of Maintenance is Manufacturing related to safety, throughput equipment, lean manufacturing projects, Periodic Maintenance (PM), improvement projects and administrative area moves) 2. Maintaining all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems 3. Maintaining facilities equipment such as fire protection, elevators, water, compressed air, and outside grounds (including snow removal, landscaping, etc) 4. Maintaining and generating procedures for preventative maintenance and work tasks, inclusive of manufacturing equipment, cranes and hoists 5. Maintaining the site’s maintenance management system 6. Planning, scheduling, forecasting, and balancing department workload 7. Managing facilities projects for cost, schedule, safety and quality 8. Maintaining facilities budget and warranty programs, and improving base costs including energy cost reductions 9. Managing and leading the Emergency Preparedness and Fire Prevention Element program 10. Responsible for Lock Out Tag Out Element program 11. Serving on the site Crisis Management Team as the site Security Leader and liaison for Indirect Sourcing 12. Ensuring consistent operating procedures and policies for the facility 13, Reporting on maintenance accomplishments in the areas of safety corrective actions and improvements, PM’s, repair work orders, and improvement projects 14. Managing the relationship with the site landlord and counseling site leadership on lease and landlord responsibilities to the site 15. Maintaining and generating procedures for preventative maintenance and work tasks 16. Ensure that the site equipment is maintained within GE, local and state regulation, EHS and building code compliance 17. Responsible for planning and executing site expansion and upgrade projects in support of increased volumes and new product introductions 18. Responsible to partner with the site EHS leader as their back-up. 19. Responsible for the site’s adherence to our insurance carrier requirements.

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. 4. Knowledge of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedures and operates within them to ensure that all purchased services conform to specified requirements. 5. Knowledge of GE Corporate Real Estate Procedures & Policies and operate within them to ensure that all leases & related documents are in compliance. 6. Knowledge and understanding of GEHC Work Instructions relevant to facilities design, repair, and maintenance and operates within them to ensure conform to the specified requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Engineering Bachelors Degree or equivelent 2. Manufacturing environment and Facility Manager work experience 3. Power distribution, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and fire protection systems experience 4. Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, Maintenance Systems, Auto-CAD
