The intern will be responsible for project work within the scope of Customs. The internship will include a project-oriented work assignment designed to offer hands-on Customs experience with the Global Operations- Customs team. The assignment is designed to expose the intern to Customs knowledge, strategy setting and analytics. The intern will be exposed to the role Customs plays in GE strategic initiatives.
Support on Invoices reviews and issue of Purchase Orders in CCL system or WorkFlows
Follow up of payment of invoices processed
Follow up on certifications requested and approvals through gov. system
Support on annual Due Diligence of Brokers in Argentina-Chile gathering and uploading documents to support central
Follow up of Temporary Importations Bonds and Drawbacks of Exportation
Reports generation and control
Record keeping and documents gathering
International Affairs, Foreign Trade, or International Business student
Coursing 6th to 9th semester
Graduation planned for late 2019
Knowledge of import-export regulations
1 year experience
Strong communications skills in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Proactive, accurate, detail oriented and very active
Clear thinker with good organizational and prioritization skills
