Role Summary: The On Wing Support Technical Planner will be responsible for key functional, business, and company objectives. In this role, you will manage complex issues affecting the business, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. You will work with the larger OWS team (including headquarters), as well as a cross-functional team from other divisions/organizations.
Essential Responsibilities: Manage a job from cradle to grave, which may include:
• Work with the Customer to schedule jobs in order to meet their needs • Allocate manpower to jobs in order to fulfill on customer requests • Lead large, first-time workscopes; serve as a key advisor to the larger team on new workscopes • Order material from GE/CFM Spares • Ship and receive tooling • Invoice jobs to meet financial targets
Assist Quality Leader in maintaining shop floor standards, which may include:
• Managing technical publications • ensuring chemical cabinet/scrap hardware is managed appropriately • Shipping tools out for calibration • Perform other duties as necessary, which may include obtaining airside passes, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements: •Minimum of 5 years of Aviation Industry experience •Knowledge of EASA Part and FAA FAR procedures •Prior experience reading technical manuals such as the AMM and ESM •Ability to quickly learn •Prior experience working with or for OWS is desired but not required •Experience as an OWS technician is desired but not required
