Role Summary: This role is responsible to execute a global operations finance transformation strategy across GE. Operations Finance includes FP&A, Commercial, Supply Chain and R&D/Engineering finance activities that drive compliance, growth and profitability.
This role will lead a significant Global Operations CoE and partner closely with stakeholders across GE business units, Corporate, Finance IT and Global Operations to deliver the digital, horizontal finance function of the future.
Essential Responsibilities: Compliance and integrity: • Be a role model on all aspects of GE’s integrity, diversity, fair employment policies • Compliance with local stat/regulatory policies e.g. female working hours and safety, employee transportation
Build and Create: • Lead and operationalize a GE Operations Finance CoE starting with base cost across relevant BU’s and Corporate which leads to a positive GE ROI • Anticipate demand requirements and position resourcing availability that optimizes cycle time and RTS cost • Use your finance expertise to support the teams risk assessment of any work migrations, org creation and balance structure with speed to ensure timely and quality execution • Lead exec communications to provide execution status updates, issue logs and help needed • Engage and lead cross-functional teams across our CoE, BU’s/Corporate, PMO, Operational Controllership
Operational Excellence: • Leverage your strong finance expertise for idea generation for enterprise standards and automation… big swings and tactical • Implement enterprise standards as they are rolled out e.g. employee cost
• Use your FP&A expertise to challenge existing team outcomes are value added to business units/corporate, in addition, to simple, standard and automated e.g. assess horizonal process alignment across the CoE • Relentlessly optimize economies of skill and scale to drive productivity projects that achieve year-on-year productivity targets both in the short and long term • Operationalize CoE “health” metrics that continuously benchmarks performance and identifies opptys • Implement visibility tools to digitize reporting and RPA for process transformation • Compete with existing GO Quality/Lean resource capacity to support your simplification projects that generate the biggest net productivity returns
Employee Development: • Build a recruiting funnel via with the GE India Finance Council, your GE networks, CAS, FMP and a potential intern program • Create a world-class employee onboarding & training program • Lead a quarterly succession planning exercise with a high say-do commit to accelerating employee development across GO • Support the continuous improvement of the GO brand
Qualifications/Requirements: • CA/MBA Finance with a minimum of 10 years of finance leadership • Demonstrated strong operations finance expertise, especially FP&A expertise across region, product/service and HQ - able to link financial results to operational performance drivers • Strong experience of GE industrial finance and FP&A cycles • Ability to prepare and deliver effective exec communications • Experience of leading finance process standards and automation • Leading significant change management/restructuring programs0 • Good dealing with ambiguity and a non-structured environment • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute, stay motivated and create a positive employee experience
Desired Characteristics: • Prior industrial finance experience • Six Sigma / Quality – Green Belt • Corporate Leadership Program – FMP, CAS
