Role Summary: ATP Additive Material Program Leader will serve as a key focal point for ATP Additive material maturation program by providing technical, financial and strategic coordination and leadership to the worldwide technology teams working for the program.
Own and execute transition plan from US to EU as well as GE Additive to GE Aviation
Assemble materials team from US and global resources (AA, EDC, GEAC & TTC) and coordinate activities to manage response for material needs
Review and facilitate discussions related to additive technologies to be applied to ATP engine platform
Conduct and manage risk abatement activities and communicate it thru TRL reviews, ATP tech reviews and PCB
Plan, advocate, and manage budgets for additive material maturation program
Coordinate with GE AED, GSC, Global Research, GE Additive and other organizations to get right support for additive technology as needed by ATP program.
Ownership of periodic status reviews and updates to senior leadership
Collaborate with ATC, TAL and AA Brindisi site to ensure material maturation plans aligned with production readiness timelines
Provide overall technical leadership and administrative management for material maturation program members
Develop and maintain a productive working climate, promoting global teamwork and cross-functional efforts to achieve and maintain excellence
Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and technical direction to EU material maturation program members
Maintain broad knowledge and understanding of technical efforts within the work group in order to assure technical excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources and consistency of methods across programs
Degree or Master Degree in Material Science, Chemical, Mechanical or Aeronautic Engineering or other related engineering discipline
Excellent communication skills
Solid technical and program management skills
Extensive familiarity with GE engineering and quality system tools such as engineering drawings, standards, specifications
Ability to lead by influence
Fluency in English and in Italian
Experience in an engine systems related role
Experience with global export control restrictions related to materials technology.
Green belt or Black Belt certification
Experience with working with global design and MAE teams.
