Role Summary: The Clinical Product Specialist is responsible for owning, formulating, and developing market strategies and tactics that are required to meet our business objectives in the Monitoring Solutions business in Canada. This position takes an active role in selling opportunities to ensure that GE Healthcare’s technologies are perceived as desirable by our customers. You will lead clinical and technical representation of the Products including presentations and demonstrations.
Essential Responsibilities: • Act as Monitoring Solutions Clinical Product Specialist for assigned products nationally. • Provide product and sales support for strategic opportunities to Account Executives, Product Sales Specialists, and other direct and indirect sales/service channels through generating proposals, preparing quotations, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities. • Lead modality training initiatives, gathering of market intelligence/competitive feedback, helping to drive modality strategy and promotional activities • Responsibilities include strategic and tactical sales planning, demonstrating product capabilities, assist in sales training, customer profiling, account maintenance, and trade show management • Prospecting for new customers in addition to growing and maintaining existing customer portfolio. • Annual achievement of sales and revenue targets. • Support Clinical Applications Support team as required, including pre and post-sale customer training, as well as general liaison and support of the Clinical Applications Support team • Development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identity and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs. • Responsible for providing feedback to Product Marketing Manager, Account Executives and Product Sales Specialists on field concerns, issues, and requirements. • Communicate effectively with members of Commercial Teams and internal stakeholders in order to maximize orders, sales and margin potential and to communicate leads to relevant colleagues. • To organize and perform product demonstrations and site visits in cooperation with Sales Support, Product Marketing Manager, Account Executives and Product Sales Specialists. • To analyze and specify customer needs and requirements and derive customized solutions. • To track market effectively and provide accurate current and forecast data using information tools available (e.g., Salesforce). • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Nursing Diploma or Degree (or equivalent) with 3+ years of clinical experience • Must be able to cultivate and leverage Clinical/Technical relationships externally at all levels. • The ideal candidate has previous experience in Monitoring solutions with proven sales record of accomplishment gained within a similar Healthcare or Scientific company. • The ideal candidate will have previous clinical experience in ICU and/or ED clinical environments • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills • 3+ years of consultative sales experience in healthcare industry • Willingness to travel 50% nationally depending on geography and business need. • Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales offers • Willingness to submit to a check of your driving record (given that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned/leased, privately owned/leased or rental vehicle for company business)
Desired Characteristics: • Previous Healthcare high-end capital equipment sales experience or customer facing roles in applications support. • Demonstrated ability to work independently. • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization. • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process. • Strong communication and clear-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages. • Knowledge Healthcare market • Bilingual (English/French)
