Role Summary: Responsible for managing the work deliverables of the platform/product/solution.
Manages 1-2 agile teams (max approx. 12 directs); dotted line help as well.
This could be a first time manager (more senior as an IC) or a people manager with experience.
Leader within his/her own product. This role is distinguished by the size of product line and complexity of influence and impact required to perform the role.
Direct reports consist of individual contributors and contractors; does not manage people managers.
Leadership is demonstrated through team leadership and knowledge in a specific technical area.
Begins to demonstrate deeper expertise in engineering methodologies/tools and drive best practices.
Demonstrates an ability to communicate the technical knowledge through project management and contributions to product strategy.
Provides coaching, feedback, developmental opportunities, etc. to directs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience
Desired Characteristics: • Experience with opensource authentication protocols and related technologies including OpenID Connect, oAuth2.0, Multi-Factor Auth, Single Sign-On, CyberArk and SAML • Strong communicator with a very collaborative work-style • Experience with Directory Service frameworks and related technologies and protocols including but not limited to; Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, LDAP, SCIM, and Virtual Directory. • Drive application integration with Cloud based services including AWS, Office365 and G-Suite tools. • Familiarity and experience with continuous-availability and widely-deployed systems. • Maintains current knowledge of IT development methodology, architecture, and related standards, as it pertains to Auth, and ensures usage of new standards by team members. • Partners with Security and Application areas to ensure solutions not only comply with policies and procedures, but are readily reportable
