Role Summary: GE Lighting is recruiting talented Engineering students who are willing to take responsibility--students who want to implement their own ideas but who understand the importance of teamwork in an ever-changing environment. In addition you will :
Co-Ops will work in a manufacturing environment to complete projects designated by their Assignment Leader
Responsible for projects that have real impact on the business
Projects may include, but are not limited to, the following fields:
evaluation of supplier quality
evaluation and reliability
fabrication and finishing
production equipment and fixture specification
and process engineering
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university or college
Degree focused in:
Environmental / Health / Safety
other relevant STEM majors
Supply Chain majors may also be considered
Minimum GPA: 3.2 (out of 4.0)
Graduating between June 2018-June 2021
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
Ability and Willingness to work 40 hours a week
Successful candidates will have significant leadership roles on campus or in the community
Solid analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective team skills
Coursework or related experience in their major field of study
Candidates must be proactive and willing to learn
Ability to work with little supervision
Ability to interface with a wide array of individuals, balance multiple tasks, and maintain a positive attitude
