Role Summary: The Contract Risk Manager will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of all aspects of the Policy 5.0 Deal Management process for the GE Industrial Solutions business (both products & services). The Contract Risk Manager will leverage knowledge of commercial terms and conditions to support the broader commercial team in the development of proposals / contracts which aligns with the business’ goals.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Contract Risk Manager you will:
Be a regional advocate of the Commercial Risk review process ensuring compliance with Policy 5.0
Provide contract analysis and support to Sales and Commercial Operations teams for customer proposals, NDAs, frame agreements, or other contractual documents
Support risk initiatives such as DOA simplification, quality initiatives, etc
Review and redline contractual agreements as required
Identify and help resolve other commercial risks, including contract structures, tax issues, licenses, permits, insurance, payment terms, guarantees, etc.
Work closely with the Region Sales team as a key partner in the strategy development to create wining proposals
Lead comprehensive training programs for the Commercial and Project Excellence teams on areas of risk management and T&C fundamentals
Work closely with the Customer Excellence team to ensure projects are appropriately handed-over and to provide commercial support where required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum 5 years of commercial experience with the negotiation contracts, and demonstrated expertise in direct customer negotiations
Demonstrated Negotiation Skills
Sales, commercial or contracting experience in Industrial, Energy or Oil and Gas industries
Strong business acumen and leadership skills
Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills
Prior experience negotiating agreements
Prior experience with public bid rules and doing business with governmental entities
Ability to support and coordinate negotiations on multiple complex deals simultaneously
Ability to lead and drive our T&C's strategy in a multi-functional team environment
Ability to foster personal growth in other team members through coaching and mentoring
Strong customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
Executive presence to connect with people and gain consensus with multiple stakeholders
Outstanding analytical, problem solving skills and attention to details
Customer solutions mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs and translate into profitable business solutions
