Essential Responsibilities: The Sourcing Indirect Program Leader delivers sourcing results (savings, on-time delivery/execution) for multiple commodities. In this role you will use your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and affect short-term and long-term business goals. - Will drive and be accountable for key financial metrics, timelines & other related objectives/goals for the assigned commodity/product - Work collaboratively with multiple other functions/requestors/internal customers to drive successful delivery of indirect products & services - Collaborate with manager & team in setting realistic and challenging operational goals, and contribute to their accomplishment - Own the supplier identification to RFQ to delivery process for all assigned commodity/products - Conduct qualification & competitive analysis of vendor products / services - Drive proactive involvement in all functional activities related to sourcing to ensure that the sourcing team delivers strong value to the business - Understand and drive GE expectations from the function internally and with suppliers
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree (in Science/Engineering) from an accredited university or college - At least 5 years of relevant, full-time work experience. Candidates with lesser experience can also be considered suitably - Expert understanding of the supplier base in the region for one or more of the commodity groups listed below - Experience/ability to work on sourcing activities in multiple sub- commodities – Specialized/large/complex equipment, Construction related services, Indirect/shared services, tooling, projects - Experience in identifying domestic sourcing plans for local requirements - Strong analytical skills, project /program management skills - Ability to build trust-based relationships with suppliers & extended team - Strong interpersonal skills - Strong spoken and written communication & presentation skills - Demonstrated problem-solving skills - Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, complex contracts & terms
