Role Summary: Responsible for leading a medium/small cross-functional product Program Core Team of LP/PB project leaders through program planning and execution of the development of a new product. Individual works with the PM and PLs to ensure that the necessary skills and resources are effectively applied and delivering to plan. This role leads the Core Team to continuously integrate for predictable execution and teamwork across all functions.
Essential Responsibilities: The Lead Program Integrator is responsible for driving New Product introduction program execution for a product. The LPI develops the Integrated Program Plan and ensures that the necessary resources are applied and delivering to plan. The LPI works with a large cross-functional team to ensure product manufacturability, serviceability, safety and quality. In addition, the LPI works with the functional engineering leadership team to grow functional and domain expertise within the team. The LPI is responsible for ensuring that the product development process abides to the business Engineering Quality Procedures, Phased Review Discipline and regulatory needs of the applicable markets. Finally, the LPI works with the system, sub-system and service leadership team to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with the necessary features.
• Establishes the annual calendars for Release Trains and Sprints for the software platform spanning multiple products. • Facilitates Program Increment (PI) planning readiness working with global product scrum teams (that derive products from the software platform). • Facilitates PI planning and release events. • Works closely with the Global Program Manager and understands the overall release train plan. • Derives the Software Program plan from the overall Program Plan. • Owns the Software Program Plan and monitors execution of the plan. • Coordinates/synchronizes HW/SW dependencies across products while ensuring commonality & integrity of the platform is maintained. • Coordinates with DevOps team and ensures all development/main/release streams for more than one program are planned based on the PI/sprint plans for merging, copy up/down, etc. Ensures that all scrum masters and scrum teams working on various programs are well aware of the streams and their respective releases. • Assists with program execution and RT feature completion tracking – metrics. • Facilitates Scrum of Scrums and ensures communication across all scrum teams. • Facilitates program level visibility of team(s) estimation and performance. • Escalates impediments. • Encourages team collaboration. • Works with Product Owners and ensures that Features are being groomed well ahead of the each Program Increment (PI). • Ensures all Scrum teams run at full capacity with enough Feature points. • Helps lead risk and dependencies. • Reports status to leadership team at program review meetings. • Provides input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks. • Drives program level Agile continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Four year degree in Engineering and/or science within an appropriate discipline (i.e. EE/ME/etc.) or equivalent. Needed for the application of scientific/ engineering methods and theory. • 6+ years progressive experience as an engineer or scientist within the appropriate field of study to include a minimum of 3 years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing/research environment. • In depth knowledge of product technologies, clinical apps. & system func. • Develop, lead and execute to the integrated program plan • Identify and lead project-related risks so that their effect on functionality, costs or delivery is minimized. • Monitor and report project adherence to budget. • Lead the specification, progress and delivery of work carried out by subcontractors and suppliers. • Develop technical files and supportive regulatory documentation. Serve as a contact for the QA department for regulatory audits and FDA visits. • Provide weekly updates regarding project progress. • Contribute to the further development of the staged gate product development process and implementation of full software development lifecycle systems, procedures and tools. • Coordinate with production, planning and technical personnel to ensure the successful launch of products. • Be dedicated in promoting the use of new & creative project mgmt. strategies. • Ensure that correct version control structures are in place
